few in number and frankly comparable to things that exist in the 40k world. Their real star thing are Jedi and those are well. Gravity wells can bust it and it could be jammed by ships. There are issues with it, particularly in areas of their very own galaxy. I don't think Star Wars would ever deal with a proper Nid invasion.Ĥ0K was designed to be an over the top OP world and it reflects this.Īnd Star Wars did not actually have super reliable travel. The Imperium of Man also has multiple planet busting things at its disposal.Īnd that's all base empire before you get into Space Marines, Grey Knights, Soritas, Inquisitors, and other things.Īnd still before you get to Chaos, Greenskins, Necrons, and the Tyranids. The weapons used by the Imperium are more numerous and far more deadly. The legions of Imperial Guard outnumber Storm Troopers or even basic legions by vast amounts.

40K funnily enough gives a more realistic volume set for a galactic empire where Star Wars was always under numbered. Hah, did you ever read how many Star Destroyers that actually existed? It was a pittance to the numbers of 40k. Empire vs starwars would probably be a messy war. If the force is guiding the galaxy a sort of invisible fate might just plot armor smash through most things besides chaos.Įdit: After some thought, if the two galaxies simply bumped into each other, the star wars side would likely be able to react much faster, but eventually chaos cults/genestealer infiltration/ect woudl become a serious problem and the copying of technology would be a matter of time (for some factions, the empire is really weird with technology, and would probably fare the worse against starwars people save for maybe their massive number of planets and the ability to destroy whole planets with their extermanatus thing, though I suppose starwars also has world destroying weapons. I will admit that I am more versed in warhammer lore than starwars, so I don't know exactly how the force/force ghosts things would work with warhammer stuff. Also, there are a few warhammer races like eldar/necrons that at the height of their power had reliable transport across their empire. On the other hand, something like tyranids wiping the galaxy clear of life over an extended period of time would pose a serious threat to a star wars universe even if they could live on space stations/places tyranids would not bother going. I will fully agree with the advantage of mobility save random demon teleports but those are supposed to be rare, so it would be difficult for 40K forces to wipe starwars forces from the galaxy without fully occupying it first. First, there are beings like demons/the chaos gods that (as far as I am aware) no starwars entity could face off against realistically. While this might be slightly off topic, I disagree for the following reasons. At this point they break the reality, it's going way too far. The only universe who is even more grobill (so you can say ''utterly ruins 40k'') than 40k is Marvel. Probably SW who has inspired others but let's be real, you can't have such a big imperium is you can't go somewhere fast.

Travel faster than light is super basic in most sci fi universes. Starship size in SW are pretty meh (eclipse super star destroyer is just 17 km) when in 40k you have **** craftworld that are close to a planet size. Yuuzhan vong (aka the hardest threat for the SW galaxy) invasion is a chips if you compare Chaos and Tyrannids. While Nihilus and Death Star destroying a planet is by far the ''biggest'' threat. No, 40k is way 'stronger' and darker than SW.Įverything is boosted and uberbroken in 40k, while SW you have some ''powerhouse'' such as Nihilus, Death Star etc but they are very few overhaul.īut in 40k destroying a planet or solar system is legit basic. Reliable Faster than light travel is such an enormous advantage. I want to note once again - Today both of those are thing of their own separate from Warhammer. Warcraft is based (long long long long time ago) on Warhammer -īlizzard wanted to make a digital Warhammer game but got turned down by GW in middle of development, So blizzard tweaked stuff and it became Warcraft - The game that is now a thing of its own, thou you can still see a small connection between the 2. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.846 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
